We arrived in Brisbane early and went for a walk around the area near to our hostel Palace. We had a central location close to the shops including Queens Street! In the evening we met up with Kasia in the Down Under Bar where they had free cocktails and a male stripper for ladies night.The following morning we did the Lonely Planet walking tour of the cities main attractions. We began in Anzac Square at the war memorial and visited art galleries and the museum. E saw Parliament House and the city park and a Nepalese Pagoda. The modern art gallery had some very bizarre pieces including a photo of a dressed up penis and a self portrait saying 'black c**t'. I was a little shocked at those! In the other art gallery we see a diplay of silver balls floating in a pool. (see picture of Brad left) When we were walking around the upper floor oevrlooking the display we saw a toddler playing with the balls and the mother not really paying attention. The baby fell head first into the pool and terrible as it may sound we couldn't stop laughing!We spent the evening in Down Under bar again after going to an open mic comedy night with Katie and Jo.Thursday was spent shopping and we went to the cinema. Friday we had to check out way before our bus so we went to Regents Theatre for yet another movie!
