This is brief as I have 10min internet time remaining! Arrived in Arlie beach and the bus driver did a barbecue - loads of prawns/steak/chicken. Ended up going out with bus people which was a bad idea due to my 7am start for my sailing trip. The matador was incredible - really good mix of people, good crew, beautiful location. Went to Whitehaven beach which is the really famous white one with pure silica (sp??), something like 93% so it doesn't get hot and it feels like flour. Did lots of snorkelling which was incredible - saw loads of fish and a dolphin and a sea turtle and glow in the dark things at night. Two days spent sailing around Whitsundays - we had to help with the sail which was fun especially when there are 5/6 lads hanging off the rope with all their weight. Last day sail back was incredible - there was lots of wind and the crew cleaned the hull so we flew! it leans 45 degrees which is pretty weird but so much fun! We got sprayed loads and you dangle your legs over the raised side so you don't fall down. The skipper Pete said it was the best fun he had had in months and we sailed past other boats so quickly. All the people on the other boats were just staring in awe! Absolutely brilliant time was completed by a fun night out with Team Matador! Off to Kroombit cattle station tomorrow! Shooting guns, cracking whips and goat herding!!!
