Karen I'm lucky. I've been travelling pttery much since I left school, so all my friends are used to me coming and going. I'm also very lucky that my family enjoy travelling too so they understand that I'm not always local. They have also learnt how to use skype!I think it is more selfish for others to call travellers selfish, as if affected it means the travellers may give up their plans and perhaps their dreams. What do the non-travellers give up?

re: Central ParkDeepak This review is from: Lonely Planet USA (Country Travel Guide) (Paperback) I bguhot this book before driving from Savannah GA to Los Angeles CA at the begining of this summer and I thought that this last edition (april 2010) would have been updated, but it wasn't. We tried to go to a BBQ restaurant they suggest in Memphis and when we got there it was not only out of business but it was also in a sketchy neighborhood. The information about Graceland was incomplete, no address at all, only a website (if you buy the book is because you don't have internet in the car or phone right?). A good thing that the book has is a map with milage and time between major cities.
re: New York, New YorkWuttisiri jimbo - Wilbur, In my experience there few thngis that can give you a singular focus and clarity of mind better that fear and pain. Not nagging fear or dull pain but that real in your face pucker factor fear and hot poker in the eye type of pain. Sounds like you have received both by the score as of late. Sorry for that! But for what it's worth I agree with Carol that your even more so yourself and it has provided a sharpness and richness to your posts that I don't think you are even aware of. It has transformed you into quite the Hemingway. Take that for what it's worth but it leaves me looking forward to you next post. Know that we are actually living vicariously through you as hard as that may seem to fathom. You have the rare gift of time (yeah I know probably too much for anyone's liking!), and the greater gift of the inclination to stop and smell the roses. We all want to make time to examine the world we live in in greater detail, to take it all in and roll it about in out brain pans for bit longer than we usually can afford to, but alas we are too caught up in our rodent races and the minutiae of our lives to stop and do so. So thanx for doing some of it for us, it really is providing a rare bit of escape from our grinds. Love ya man!
re: Bruges, BelgiumUti I hope she does a section on the itmcrpanoe of legacy planning before you go travelling. Having a legal written will, or a living will in place is vital, as is travel insurance and life insurance. These days nobody should travel without first ensuring these things are in place, then they can jet off without worry.
re: Stradun (Main Street)Alicia Personalmente questa rforima non la trovo il male assoluto. Prima di tutto non ho letto un solo punto riguardante il famoso "taglio", presente invece nella manovra finanziaria. Anzi, all'art. Grazie

re: Brighton, UKSatish . Your favorite reaosn seemed to be on the web the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people think about worries that they just don't know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people can take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
re: Munich, GermanyPeterpedo Hello Thomas,I have found this page from a link on a Wikipedia page all about doors, and I have a question I hope you might be able to shed some light on:I have wekord in Chamonix (French Alps) as a carpenter on a few occations over the past few years and have become intrigued by the construction methods of some of the very old doors around the valley. Resembling (at a glance) nothing more than a Matched (ledged but not braced) Door, they are made up of two or more vertical, tongue&grooved planks (local Pine) side-by-side with just one or two horizontal wedge-shaped batons driven in along a dove-tailed groove which has been ploughed out across the planks which then holds the door together, with no nails or pegs needed. I can send an illustration if need be.I am very keen to find a name for this joining technique, which I've also seen used on the reverse of very old picture frame mitres (not necessarily French), as I am currently basing my sculptures on it. Any help you could give would be much appreciated. Perhaps if not from yourself, you might know someone you could recommend. Many thanks,Chris.
re: Edinburgh, UKNyrradi Thank you for this vid!!! The main thing about this is vid is asking berfoe the picture which i think is important.. re: JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter HereSylvanus The Ultra-light weight Unfolding Toiletries Case is a must-buy on my next tarvel plans. I think it is really more helpful to have an unfolding case instead of a pouch. Toiletries can be more organized.
re: Princess ParkRadwen is that you tommy did you forget to sign into the right acucont, s*** how many acuconts have you got in your efforts to promote LDR to the public, it's not a conspiracy it's just PR. re: Munich, GermanyAlp As much as I hate to say this (I went through treavl school years ago and was a treavl agent for a short time), treavl agents don't usually give much of a discount, if any. The problem is that nowadays with the Internet giving access to all airlines either via their own Web sites or mass ticket distributors (Orbitz, Expedia, etc.) treavl agents are not booking nearly as many tickets and therefore not producing as much income for the airlines. It used to be the ONLY way to book a ticket if you didn't want to call the airline reservation line or if you wanted to know rates from several airlines. But the problem is that the airline Web sites now offer most (if not all) of their fares to the general public, though they do have the right to limit the number of tickets at each fare - just as they do with the treavl agents. The reason treavl agents aren't able to offer more of a discount is because they get mostly the same rates we (the public) gets, but they also take their commission as well. Sometimes they are offered an additional commission and sometimes they add a fee for their services, so you should always check that first. On a side note, if you email me the dates and city in Russia where you will be going, along with the number going, I will see what I can find for you!Good luck and enjoy Russia!References :
re: photo from 17 January 2009Patricia During an interview, a mecrahnt owner on the Loop stated that fights do occur in that area and some businesses were even being adversely affected because of the disturbances; because most of these incidents don't make the the news, the general public was oblivious to the seriousness of the ongoing problem with disruptive behavior which occur mostly among juveniles. The incident that happened Saturday was serious enough to make the news, and now has prompted business and law enforcement officials, in a joint effort, to start taking more aggressive action in coming up with real solutions to deal with, and deter future disruptive behavior.
