Hello everyone!
We have just visited the most beautiful beach town called Mancora, which is north Peru. We stayed there for 4 nights and literally did hardly anything apart from enjoy the sea and the sun. Our hostel was right on the beach front and our room was a wooden shack overlooking the ocean, we went to sleep listening to the waves and woke up to them. It was paradise. Our shack had a little balcony and we enjoyed some of the best sunsets we have seen yet, I even woke up one night and caught the moon going down over the ocean!
Our hostel was about half an hours walk away from Mancora town but the walk was straight down the beach. We only really had to leave the hostel to grab some food in the town as it had everything we needed. It had an amazing pool, bar and Mark even had a go at body boarding. We met some fantastic people from all over the world, we met some girls from the UK who were on a gap year and were travelling around then heading to Leeds uni so we chatted to them lot, a guy from Manchester and Hull, some guys from Colarado, Germany and Denmark we even met a few more kiwis! The whole atmosphere at the hostel was really chilled out everyone was there to enjoy the location (and a few liked to party). The hostel organised pool volley ball in the day and beach parties at night which we joined in with. Mark attempted body boarding but the waves were quite rough so he soon got out of the sea and back into the pool! While you walked over the sand crabs were at your feet so you had to be really careful!!
We are heading over the boarder to Ecuador now to spend our last week there and catch our flight to Canada next Friday!! Hope you enjoy the photos because we really enjoyed taking them!!
Speak soon love Leanne and Mark xx
