We arrived at our villa in Pattaya on Tuesday 4th and it was really private and enclosed. We decided to make the most of the private pool and spent most of the time relaxing at the villa making the most of the sunshine. We all set off to do a big shop at Tesco Lotus to buy resources for the 4 days we were in Pattaya. The villa had a really nice outdoor seating area so we decided we would each cook a night and Mark would do the washing up! The first night Mum cooked us steak, however we did discover the kitchen was super warm once the ovens were on!!
Our second day in Pattaya we sunbathed and enjoyed the amazing swimming pool. Dad also practiced his bombing in the pool! We found our very own cocunut tree in the grounds of our villa and Mark risked his life to chop us a fresh cocunut down! On the menu that night we had chicken and pasta cooked by chef Sarah.
Our third day in Pattaya was a little more eventful, we decided to head to the beach for the day, where we used the facilities at Cabbages and Condoms resort, which is an organisation that helps people in poverty in the local area and encourages all its staff to take English lessons. We relaxed on the sun loungers and had light lunch of finger food that we all shared, including some crab rolls!! Oh yeah and also probably the most important thing of all, Dad the born again metro-sexual decided he would have a pedicure from a woman who worked for Cabbages and Condoms called Morning. She worked on his feet right on the beach as he was sitting on his sun lounger and enjoying a Singha beer, she even put him some clear nail varnish on!! Hahaha.....
I cooked Spag Bol when we returned to the villa and then we all jumped in the shower and put our glad rags on for a night on the town. We headed to Walking Street where a lot of characters hung about. We strolled down the street and were asked on several occassions if we wanted to see a "ping pong" show, and if your thinking they were offering tickets to see table tennis you would be very wrong!!! We went to a really lively bar with go go dancers in and really good music and enjoyed a few drinks in there although im not sure Mark knew where to look in front of my mum and dad, it was funny!!
We enjoyed another day of sunshine in Pattaya and a red thai curry cooked by Dad on our last day before jumping in a taxi to the airport onto the next part of the "Crossleys on tour".
