On the 22nd May 2010 I'll cycle out of my home county of Surrey towards the coast, crossing over to France and then heading across Europe until I eventually reach Istanbul around two months later. My journey will take me through some of Europe's most picturesque landscapes, from forgotten alpine villages to the lesser-known forests, mountains and beaches of Eastern Europe. Istanbul acts as the gateway to Asia, so experiencing (at the pace of a bicycle) how the people, landscape, climate and culture changes from England to Turkey will be truly unforgettable.
Most importantly this challenge is for charity. So please please sponsor me any amount you can so that together we can reach (and hopefully smash!) my target of £1000, changing the lives of so many children around the world, people who really need our support. For those of you who are feeling gutsy you can sponsor me 1p a mile, meaning overall your donation will be between £20-30 (2000-3000 miles depending on the route...and my energy!). This would be a huge motivation for me to keep peddling to get those miles under my wheels. Money can be donated at:
