For a change we decided to go to another place off the tourist track a little bit and headed off for caloundra, its a small seaside town inbetween brisbane and noosa and is also the place to go to visit the glasshouse mountains, which was are main reason for going. Caloundra is beautiful i cant belive more tourists dont come here the coastline is stunning and its full of top little restaurants and cafe's and also its half the price of everywhere we have been so far, mainly because its mainly just locals and it doesnt raise its prices for the tourist trade. our first day we spent walling along the coast to all the hidden beaches and to see a shipwreck which had been washed up on one of the bays, today we hired out a really cool hyundai estate car and drove to the glasshouse mountains and went on a few walks up to different lookout points and then drove right into the heart of the moubtaind to a town called mountville which is perched right at the top, the views were amazing and the little town itself was just a bit mental its like we had gone back in time a few hundred years, erin loved ot though because there was loads of tea rooms selling scones and cafes and bakery's and even a shop selling handcarved cuckoo clocks? wots that all about? really good place though, somewhere for the oldies i think! chilling out tonight then off to brisbane in the morning.
