TENNIS TIMEEEE!!!! finaaally, came around to the Australian Open!!! been sooo excited about this, and it lived up to my hype!! i moved to a hostel about 10mins walk from it, it's sooo nice here, they have a cat called Keith! hahaha i love him, and it's really homely/very different from the other ones i've stayed at, and because of a cock-up in rooms i ended up with a twin-room and a tv!! good times!
but to the tennis, ahhh it's sooooo good! was on the rod laver arena, so i've managed to see fed, nadal, murray, clijsters, henin, stouser, williams, hewitt (sooooo good, such a good atmosphere!) along with the brits on the outside courts, ferrero, gasquet, youzhny, gonzo, monfils-again aamaaazing atmosphere, robredo, hantuchova annnd sooo many more! managed to get onto murray's court for his second game too and that was such good fun!
the first day had the craziest monsoon weather eveeer, was so glad to be inside, but felt so sorry for everyone who ahd ground passes-knew quite a few people who were there and they didn't really get the chance to see much! but tues, weds and thurs it was sunny and in the 30s, so took advantage of that and saw lots of outside matches, ate lots of icecream and drank lots of beer! they have a beer garden there, with a huge screen and live bands, which was pretty cool, and also free facepainting!! so on weds i ahd my face painted with the union jack for murray and baltacha (i've never supported murray so much, he's really grown on me :Z !!! ) but STUPIDLY, i smudged allllll of my facepaint coz i forgot i ahd it on, and tried to put suncream on it! muppet!!
the atmosphere is sooo good, they're all sooo loud! altho there have been some problems with the croats and chileans, who let off flairs when gonzo won! anywhoooo, i'm off to continue the job hunt! i'm off down the great ocean road sat/sun, before heading back to sydney for my week of adventures!! woooooo! hope everyone's good
