We headed up to Newcastle in hope there would be some campsites around so we could get settled for the night. Well as the rest of our trip that was an interesting task. We rang round about 10 campsites and most of them were full and the ones that werent were silly prices so we decided the only other option would be to stop at the side of the road!! We had been told people do it all the time so we felt a bit better about doing it but still! We looked around a few and came across one overlooking the sea. There were other people that looked like thery were also settled for the night so we thought it would be an ok spot. That night getting the bed out and dew falling revealed a nasty secret of mould all in the roof lining and it stunk. This night was crap, full of blue air and what to do next as it was late and we were up the coast and all campsites full. To cut a long story short we had a bad night. The next day we spoke to the company who were happy to change it and would drive it up to us but in 3 days as they had none left. We agreed to this and slept in our sleeping bags until then with all windows open. (see next blog for follow up)
